SENSORY ORGANIZATION TESTING NOW AVAILABLE IN GREATER VANCOUVER
HealthTech Connex Centre for Neurology Studies (HTC-CNS) in Surrey BC, is pleased to announce the opening of a specialized service offering state-of- the-art assessment for clients with dizziness and balance issues. Previously used for research purposes, we are excited to open up our NeuroCom® Smart Balance Master to local clinics and centers as a fee-for-service. This machine can perform comprehensive, quantitative evaluations of clients’ postural control, including Sensory Organization Testing.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Through our services, we can assess a range of balance and dizziness-related impairments due to neurological conditions, vestibular injury and many other medical diagnoses. The test is appropriate for any individual who is experiencing a functional activity limitation, resulting from sensory or motor system impairment with known or unknown pathology.
For older adults, we can provide early detection of intrinsic sensory and motor risk factors. This objective data can then be easily used to develop customized rehabilitation and wellness programs that will help prevent falls.
For athletes, this service provides objective baseline services, season progress, as well as return progress of concussion or orthopedic injury monitoring.
WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU
For anyone working with clinic populations, the HTC-CNS can provide cost-effective assessment and send your clients back to you with objective raw reports from the testing services. These objective outcomes help to manage and monitor your client more effectively. We can also perform periodic re-assessment to evaluate and document treatment efficacy.
